The evaluation of the two different groups revealed that fetuses in the high HRV group showed a highly significant effect of the global rule (F(1,34) = 9.33, p = 0.004) while fetuses in the low HRV group showed no significant effect of the global rule (F(1,19.28) = 0.69, p = 0.417; Fig. 6 ).
When the GA groups (early gestation and late gestation) were included in the model for global rule violations, the main effect for the global rule remained significant (F(1,172.44) = 4.58, p = 0.034) and an additional marginally significant effect for the GA group (F(1,73.39) = 3.92, p = 0.051), but no interaction (F(1,172.44) = 2.25, p = 0.14) was observed.
