Our data analysis has revealed a highly significant reduction in mortality risk among chemotherapy recipients who used TCM compared with those who did not, with Kaplan-Meier 5-year cumulative incidence mortality rates of 30 and 50%, respectively (Log-rank test, p < 0.0001); this mortality benefit with TCM persisted from the end of the second year of follow-up to the end of year 5.
