This result is in agreement with Abdallah et al 12 who reported that combined treatment of EC-bearing mice with gadolinium oxide nanocomposite and radiation led to a highly significant decrease in mitochondrial enzymes’ activities, with activation of caspase-3 and a significant increase in DNA fragmentation.
