The phosphoproteomes of fresh-frozen and formalin-fixed cells also showed a good correlation with Pearson correlation coefficients of 0.7–0.9 ( p < 0.01), an expected trend, considering that the variability is generally higher on the (phospho-)peptide level (Supplementary Fig. 5B ).
