Of relevance is the detection of AMR resistance to 3rd‐generation cephalosporins (Cameron‐Veas et al., 2015 ; Lalak et al., 2016 ; Aguirre et al., 2020 ), which, as a result of the reduction or discontinuation of the use of these antimicrobials in pig production, seem to be following a decreasing trend (Agersø and Aarestrup, 2013 ; Bourély et al., 2018 ).
