The benefit of remdesivir was most apparent in patients receiving low-flow oxygen—consistent with the results of our subgroup analysis, which demonstrated a highly significant recovery and mortality benefit of remdesivir for patients on low-flow oxygen at baseline, but no significant effect for patients who required high-flow oxygen or mechanical ventilation at baseline.
