A recent Canadian study from 2015 by Akhtar-Danesh and colleagues, reported diverse trends for lung cancer incidence depending on age and sex: an increasing incidence was observed in elderly female age groups, whereas a decreasing trend in incidence was found among younger women and in most male age cohorts.
