We observed a decreasing trend for patients with type 2 diabetes achieving the target fasting plasma glucose level (FPG) level (70–130 mg/dL or 3.89–7.22 mmol/l) at their last follow-up visit from 40.8% in 2011 to 36.8% in 2018 ( p for trend < 0.001) (Table 2 ).
