In another recent study, the authors reported a decrease in the mean monthly cost of consumption of restricted antibiotics and a decreasing trend of defined daily dose of colistin. 20 Our study, spanning over a period of over 5 years, examined the change in resistance patterns of a number of GPCs as well as GNBs to several commonly used antibiotics, including colistin.
