Placing scientifically valuable data sets and software libraries in the public domain is part of an overall trend in which information, including personal information, and computational tools are being configured in a digital format that radically facilitates access to said information and tools. 11 , 12 The Data Science section of TVST is thus intended to accelerate the pace of discovery in vision science.
