Although IVIG-treated COVID-19 patients showed an improvement on their clinical status that was associated with a decreasing trend in several biomarkers related to innate cells activation and recruitment, the levels of sCD163 showed a rapid increasing tendency (as early as 3 d after the first administration of IVIG) ( Fig 1C ).
