Despite a slow increase in the proportion of married women using modern methods of contraception in Nigeria - from 7% in 2003 to 12% in 2018, 6 recent observations from clinical practice showed an increasing trend of hospitalization of married women in Ile-Ife due to complications of induced abortion.
