Highly significant differences were observed for deprivation scores ( p < 0.0001) and comorbidity ( p = 0.0007) between the ethnic minority groups with almost half of black Caribbean, Pakistani and black African women in the most deprived quintile, compared to less than a fifth of Indian and white women.
