HCC diagnosis HCC was diagnosed based on an increasing trend of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), as well as typical findings obtained in dynamic CT 10 , MRI 11 , 12 , and contrast enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) with perflubutane (Sonazoid®, Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd., Tokyo, Japan) examinations 13 , 14 , and/or pathological findings.
