As shown in Figure 4 , clear sequence preferences were detected with a strong and highly significant enrichment of T in the upper DNA strand both for DNMT3A and DNMT3A/3L indicating a stimulation of co-methylation by the presence of an A-tract in the lower strand at the center of bending.
