24 Results based on the ADA and WHO criteria demonstrated that FBG levels of ≥7.0 mmol/L were a significant risk factor for stroke (HR (95% CI) 1.68 (1.24 to 2.27) and 1.62 (1.21 to 2.13) following the ADA and WHO criteria, respectively), whereas the risk of stroke in patients with IFG had an increasing trend, but this trend was not statistically significant.
