The drug was shown to reduce the incidence of the composite renal outcome by 44% compared with placebo treatment, with highly significant statistical significance (HR 0.56; 95% CI: 0.45–0.68), regardless of the degree of filtrate reduction or the extent of pre-existing albuminuria.
