After PTX, in both MEN1 PHPT patients ( Table 2 ) and sPHPT patients ( Table 3 ), there were highly significant reductions of serum levels of PTH, calcium ion, total calcium, BALP (all these parameters moving back within their normal values), and urinary deoxypyridinoline, associated with a significant increase in serum phosphate and a significant reduction of urinary excretion of calcium. 3.4.
