A second prospective Japanese study revealed no association between urinary Cd levels and mortality from lung cancer in men ( n = 37), although in women ( n = 19) the hazard ratio for deaths from lung cancer was of borderline significance (HR = 0.64; 95% CI: 0.4–1.1) [ 20 ].
