Pairwise comparisons identified a significantly higher average betweenness centrality in WC-IGE compared with controls ( P = 0.048) and a possible trend towards a significantly higher average betweenness centrality in DR-IGE compared with controls ( P = 0.057), with no difference between WC-IGE and DR-IGE ( P = 1).
This was an exploratory study with 384 comparisons and therefore, results of uncorrected significant results, which may suggest a trend towards significance, are presented together with effect sizes. 52 Uncorrected significant differences in betweenness centrality and node strength at the level of individual nodes between the IGE group and controls were found in 37 and 35 nodes respectively.
