However, a comparison between meta-analysis of randomized studies, case-control studies, and observational registry studies with daily administration of ASA all showed a similar and highly significant reduction in the risk of CRC (odds ratio 0.54–0.69) for all, indicating a distinct and robust effect of ASA in primary prevention of CRC [ 13 , 14 ].
