At the onset of infarction (24 h post-ISO), there was only a decreasing trend of both the apparent Km and Vmax for endogenous NADH oxidation when compared with the controls ( Figure 4 C), but there was a significant increase in the Vmax value (25.5 ± 1.5 nmol·min −1 ·mg −1 vs. 21.0 ± 1.3 nmol·min −1 ·mg −1 of protein, in controls, p < 0.05; Figure 4 D) at the early post-infarction period (48 h), which was “normalized” at the later time (96 h after ISO treatment; Figure 4 E).
