As mentioned earlier, STRIDE-II advocates the avoidance of structural destruction and dysfunction of the intestinal tract, and improvement of physical function and QOL or ADL as long-term therapeutic goals for patients with IBD, so nutritional intervention in patients with IBD and sarcopenia is highly significant [ 16 ].
