To test this idea, we looked at whether there might be significant differences in the mean length between the shorter vessel walls of the pulmonary trunk of normal patients (PTL‐2=1.12±0.09 cm) and patients with TGA (PTL‐1=1.19±0.13 cm), and between the longer vessel walls of the pulmonary trunk of normal patients (PTL‐1=1.37±0.12 cm) and patients with TGA (PTL‐2=1.36±0.12 cm) (Table 3 ).
