This suggests that there may be some sensitivity to the temporal relation that would require further testing, but kind of sound is likely to play a major role. The interaction between sound type used during imprinting exposure and test condition (electronic supplementary material, Extended figure S4) was highly significant ( F 3,271 = 8.049, p < 0.001; figure 2 ), as was the main effect of sound type ( F 1,271 = 29.473, p < 0.001), but not that of temporal structure.
