In this current study, after controlling for areas of high and low prevalence of COVID-19 cases, anxiety and depression status, the association between mental disorders and insomnia symptoms becomes weaker and marginally significant, suggesting that insomnia symptoms in patients with mental disorders may be moderated by concerns to the high COVID-19 epidemic.
