The present study’s findings are highly significant for clinical practice as post-TACE pain has been reported to occur within 12 to 24 h after the procedure by a previous study. 19 In addition, our study also substantiated that pain intensity during TACE was highly correlated with pain intensity 4, 8, and 24 h after TACE, which indicated that achieving excellent pain control during the TACE procedure would lead to lower postoperative pain.
