Although we also could only observe a slight trend towards higher C max and lower t max in case of the fluorescein sodium transported under continuous perfusion, we think that if such experiments would be performed under different parameters (shorter sampling intervals, drugs with different permeation, different flow rates etc.) meaningful insights into the transport of experimental drugs intended for inhalation under physiological relevant conditions could be provided.
