pylori infection, and an increasing trend of prevalence with age ,while no difference in prevalence was found between both sexes. 48 Furthermore, men were more than twice as likely to develop cardiovascular disease as women at least under the age of 60. 49 However, our study indicates a lack of significant effects of age and gender on the association between H. pylori infection and the risk of hypertension.
