In general, cranial measurements were longer on average in females than in males ( Table 1 ), and we found highly significant differences between all pairs of species ( p < 0.001), except for the comparisons between M. coibensis — M. molossus , P. macrotis—M. temminckii , P. macrotis—S. bilineata , M. nigricans — M. riparius and M. nigricans — S. leptura ( p > 0.05) ( Table 3 ).
