Also, charge neutralization (E216Q) in GFP-Ca V 1.1e resulted in a highly significant, albeit smaller, right shift of voltage dependence of activation compared to wild-type controls (GFP-Ca V 1.1e: 10.0 ± 1.2 mV; GFP-Ca V 1.1e-E216A: 16.8 ± 1.2 mV; p < 0.001) ( Fig. 3 , G–J ).
