A GLZM analysis of variance on ZSDS scores showed that in the best fitting model (forward entry/backward removal, AIC criterion) SII at hospital admission positively (b = 0.411, Wald W 2 = 9.02, p = 0.0027), and its decrease during treatment negatively (b = −0.469, Wald W 2 = 7.85, p = 0.0051) predicted them; accordingly, a highly significant effect was detected for SII at hospital discharge (b = 0.337, Wald W 2 = 13.07, p = 0.0003).
