In fact, towards the end of treatment and after appliance removal, Haemophilus , Rothia , and OTU65 ( Rothia ), which are often associated with health status [ 52 ], showed an increasing trend: also the abundance of the genus Streptococcus and OUT351 ( Streptococcus ) increased in time, suggesting that FAT induces minimal changes in the oral microbial composition and do not negatively affect oral health, if oral hygiene is properly maintained [ 13 ].
