Our data suggest that, in general, diagnosis of taeniosis at our laboratory has remained constant over the last two decades, albeit with a slightly increasing trend, and a major spike upwards in 2020 (see Fig. 1 ). 3.2 Confirmation of species by real-time PCR Molecular investigation by real-time PCR showed that all 37 samples were T. saginata ( Fig. 2 ).
