The two models, one containing only the full set of main effects predictors and the other containing an additional interaction term were highly significant (Wald χ 2 = 234.37; df = 14; p < 0.001 and Wald χ 2 = 246.63; df = 17; p < 0.001, respectively), indicating a good fit of both models to the data when compared to the null model consisting only of a randomly varying intercept.
