Compared with UG group, the levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines IL-1β, IL-6, and TNF-α in serum and colon tissues of UC mice treated with APE were significantly decreased ( Figures 6 , 7 , p < 0.05), and the secretion level of anti-inflammatory cytokine IL-10 showed an increasing trend ( Figures 6 , 7 , p > 0.05), which indicated that APE may achieve colon mucosal injury by inhibiting the expression of inflammatory cytokines.
