With increasing ages, the AI neurons with contralateral ILD preference showed a weak trend of increase in percentages, and the largest difference in the percentages was 10.39% between the P14–18 group and the adult group; in contrast, the AI neurons that were insensitive to ILD showed a weak trend of decrease in percentages with increasing ages, and the largest difference in the percentages was 10.16% between the P14–18 group and the adult group ( Figure 8B ).
