25 Despite the lack of data and reliable evidence on Libya's HIV epidemic, the majority of experts still speculate that injecting drugs is the predominant mode of transmission however, Government sources are indicating that there is an increasing trend towards sexual transmission. 10 This trend is supported by the Spatiotemporal Analysis and Epidemiological study 8 that demonstrated infected cases from sexual activities had increased steadily, reaching 40% (n = 858) between 2013 to 2017.
