These authors also used the VHFPT and report that typical readers performed with higher accuracy (61.3%) than dyslexic readers (59.7%)–a result reported as ‘marginally significant’—but as this advantage was not specific to the congruent condition, they argue that this cannot be attributed to poorer holistic processing in dyslexic readers [ 20 ].
