Institutional trust and willingness to receive COVID-19 testing An independent sample t -test was conducted for the two institutional trust priming groups in study 2A, and the difference in the willingness to receive COVID-19 testing reached marginal significance ( t (167) = −1.86, p = .06, 95% CI = [-0.94, 0.03], Cohen's d =.29, Table 1 , Fig. 3 a), suggesting a trend that institutional trust was associated with individuals' voluntary compliance and willingness to test, but enforced compliance was not.
