The mRNA and protein expression of CUX1 were also detected using qRT-PCR and Western blot, which showed that the miR-143 mimic resulted in a highly significant decrease in the expression of CUX1 ( p < 0.01), and miR-143 inhibitor resulted in a highly significant increase in the expression of CUX1 ( p < 0.01) in dermal papilla cells, revealing that the miR-143 mimic could inhibit the expression of CUX1 protein and that the miR-143 inhibitor could increase its expression.
