Although an increasing trend in the metabolic activity can be seen ( Figure 3 C,D) compared to their clean air controls, small (117 nm-SA) and large agglomerates (117 nm-LA) of 117 nm sized TiO 2 did not affect the metabolic activity significantly even at the highest doses deposited (~24 and 38 μg/cm 2 , respectively).
