Given the facts listed above, and the highly significant association between FFAs levels and the adverse clinical outcomes among AHF patients, as presented in our study and a previous study ( 13 ), it seems reasonable to suppose that modulation of FFAs utilization by application of medicines might improve the cardiac function and outcomes in HF patients.
