A previous study by Raman et al 11 explored the impact of many of these variables (including MCAT sub-scores for the biological sciences, physical sciences, and verbal reasoning sections, undergraduate GPA, and MMI scores) in the same cohort of students (Cumming School of Medicine graduates from the classes of 2013 through 2016) and found that beyond a barely significant (p = 0.04) association with the MCAT biological science score (from a version of the MCAT that is no longer used) there was no impact of any of these variables on MCCQE Part I performance.
