An overall trend of increasing motility in the other cell lines between days 6 and 9, despite a trend of slightly declining total cellular ATP in at least the parental cell line ( Fig. 2B ), suggests that the relationship between total cellular ATP concentration and motility is not simply linear but that there is possibly a threshold of ATP availability below which motility cannot be maintained.
