ANOVA indicated that there were highly significant group differences for ‘meaningful work,’ ‘income,’ ‘career opportunities,’ ‘social prestige’ and barely significant differences for ‘length of studies.’ More than for all other groups ‘meaningful work’ is a criterion of great importance to those students aspiring to study medicine.
