Again, finally, to benchmark these observations against human GC, we correlated the expression levels of the mature miR-21-5p transcript against the recently reported functional pan-cancer “matrix remodeling” gene expression signature [ 58 ] across the stomach cancer TCGA dataset, and found a highly significant positive correlation between them ( Figure 7 C).
