pneumoniae to cephalosporins showed an increasing trend in China, and the highest sensitivities were observed with levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, and vancomycin. 10 27 Ceftaroline might also be a good choice. 28 This cephalosporin resistance of S. pneumoniae is not exclusive in China. 29 30 31 In the present study, 14 patients (53.8%) had penicillin-resistant strains who were also resistant to erythromycin, but all strains were sensitive to vancomycin.
