Thus, while we identified limited signatures of divergent inducible responses to infection among our cross types, those gene which we did identify may be significant contributors to the mechanisms of resistance. 4.4 Expression changes associated with fibrosis In addition to evaluating the roles of variation in G , E , G × E responses in divergent parasite responses, our findings also shed light on a putative resistance phenotype in this system: fibrosis.
