However, reasonable mechanistic considerations on potential drug interaction risks, based on the criteria detailed above, along with transporter expression pattern and their established roles in the transport of nucleosides and nucleosidic drugs, are considered valuable information to prevent possibly significant drug interactions in the clinical use of ENT/CNT substrates such as cladribine.
